first week over :-(

One week into the Easter holidays and I am rather tired but couldn't be happier with the things we've done and the week we've had.  This is a picture of a painted egg, apparently it's some sort of alien, I'm guessing from a very pink planet.

We've been visting family who we see often but never for very long so it was nice for the little ones to to play with their cousins.  With having other people around to look after the little ones I was able to go and see a sculpture I wanted to see, which was even more amazing than I thought is would be.

We are now home from our visit and I think we have baking, swimming and making things with cellotape planned for this week so hopefully we will make the most of the rest of the holidays

  1. Great egg!

By sheer coincidence, if you stand on top of the arches of the RainBow Gate, you can just see the Singing Ringing Tree. And I loved that you found the only pictures of us with safety harnesses on in existence. We only wore them that one day for the official pics. The rest of the time we wree clambering over it freely, in our socks, as our boots left grubby marks on it! :)

  2. The kids did a good job of the eggs I was rather impressed by their creativity :-)

I looked around for pictures of it being put up and found a few different things but I thought the ones that included safety harnesses were most appropriate given who I was looking for them for ;-)

  3. Found it. And it is seriously gorgeous. I definitely want to visit now!

Reading through I see you've got two children, so I'm going to recommend you one of my favorite websites for little people.

The games with Boowa and Kwala can be fun even for very small people. We play them at the library without any sound though so I don't know how noisy they are!

    1. I put some commercial pictures on the blogs on about the same date, I thought it was lovely when I saw it and was amazed when I found out who'd made it!

Thanks for the site link I'll have a look :-)
